Is pycnogenol (from France) better than pine bark extract of other regions?

Is Pycnogenol (extracted from pinus pinaster) more potent than extracts from other variety of pine trees (such as pinus radiata from New Zealand and pinus massniana from Asia)?

Is pycnogenol (from France) better than pine bark extract of other regions?
I don't know if it's actually more potent because I can't actually find anything that says that Pycnogenol is made from any other species.
