How can I paint this and not have the knots bleed through?
I have a furniture item made of Radiata pine.?
That will be tough. The knots, while few and far between in Radiata pine, will act almost as if they are oily, and be tricky to get stain/paint to adhere.
Do not go for white, you'll have the worst bleed-through with that. Generally, the darker you go, the better your results will be.
