MRI Brain scan report-Sella is empty filling up with CSF positive, Cerebellum and cerebellopontine angles appear normal, Ventricular system shows normal anatomical configuration, No mass effect/midline shift is seen, Cortical sulci and basal cisterns appear normal, Orbits and its contents appear normal, Crantilovertebral junction appears normal.
Impression: CHRONIC LACUNAR INFARCTS BILATERAL CORONA RADIATA.
What is the diagnosis? Is the orofacial dyskinesia confirmed by the MRI scan?
For investigating orofacial dyskinesia MRI scan Impresion "chronic lacunar infracts bilateral corona radiata"?
Orofacial dyskinesia is also known as tardive dyskinesia and often happens from chronic use of some medications used to treat psychiatric disorders.
The corona radiata is a part of the brain stem that nerve fiber controling fine motor pass through.
Chronic lacunar infarcts there means that over time, lots of tiny vessels have burst or become blocked, causing a slow worsening of blood flow to the area of the brain in question. Bilateral means ots on both sides.
You'd have to ask the neurologist what all this means for sure, but it sounds like the MRI backs of the dyskinesia diagnosis.
